SCIENCE BEHIND Bio-KEM

Piezoelectric Sensors (PES)

Piezoelectric sensors are devices that utilize the piezoelectric effect to convert mechanical vibrations or pressure changes into electrical signals. The piezoelectric effect is a phenomenon where certain materials generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress.

Harnessing Electricity from PES

When subjected to mechanical deformation, such as compression or vibration, the piezoelectric crystals produce voltage changes proportional to the applied force. This can be harnessed and stored in high efficiency batteries.

High Efficiency PES

By adding specific chemical structures such as Molybdenum and Zinc Oxide (MoZO) through a process called doping, we can enhance the sensitivity of the semiconductors we are using, therefore increasing the amount of electrical energy generated by the PES.

PES Arrays increase energy yield

By connecting multiple PES elements in parallel, we can increase the amount of energy we produce, therefore increasing our output and allowing for greater clean energy production. This will decrease our reliance on other crude energy sources and further the affirmative impact of Bio-KEM on the environment.
